Some rules for benefits

Most benefits require working a certain number of months to be eligible. For example, the Medical plan requires working 90 days first.

The number of hours per week

Some benefits also depend on the number of hours worked each week.  The following benefits require working an average of at least 20 hours per week:

  • Profit Sharing
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (with a 10% discount and no broker’s fees)
  • Flex Pay
    (This plan provides a way to set aside a tax-free portion of each paycheck to pay for certain dependent-care expenses  and  healthcare expenses.)

The following benefits require working an average of at least 30 hours a week:

  • Medical Plan/HMO Coverage
  • Dental Coverage
  • Personal Accident Insurance
  • Life Insurance
