Work rules

In most DCs, there are two 20-minute breaks in each 8-hour shift, this is different if state law requires longer breaks.   The first break occurs about two to three hours into the shift.

  • There are two break areas, where team members can eat, talk, and relax.  Some of the break rooms also have an outdoor patio.
  • Team members can use the vending machines.
  • Team members can bring in food.  The break room has shelves to store these items.

Dress code

There is no uniform.  The dress code requires:

  • no sandals, no open-toe or open-heel shoes
  • no sleeveless tops
  • no obscene content (text or pictures) on clothes
  • underwear (top and bottom) required
  • can not show bare midriff or navel
  • no loose clothing around conveyors
  • no hoodies inside the warehouse
  • no coats inside the warehouse

For some jobs, work gloves or other protective gear are needed for safety. Some departments have exceptions to these rules, your manager will let you know when exceptions can be made.
